Responsibilities
Draft, review and negotiate Indirect Procurement Agreements with service providers and product suppliers for Toyota’s North American entities
Manage the Toyota Financial Services Patent Program
Coordinate and oversee the preparation of patent applications
Coordinate and oversee the filing and prosecution of applications to register trademarks; understand and advise/counsel on the laws relating thereto
Provide advice and counsel, draft and negotiate agreements in support of special projects and business ventures
Provide advice and counsel to business units regarding potential supplier disputes
Qualification
Required
Education: Jurisprudence from an accredited law school
Experience: 7+ years of relevant legal experience with law firm(s) and/or as in-house counsel
Admission to any U.S. state bar, in good standing, and able to obtain license to practice law in Texas
Experience with procurement and commercial contracts/transactions valued at more than $1 million
Preferred
General working knowledge of intellectual property principles and the U.S, Patent and Trademark Office procedures
