Live-Event Video Engineer
Audio Visual Dynamics is a full-service audiovisual technical staging company based in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The Live-Event Video Engineer supports high-quality live events by working with the Head of Video Operations, focusing on technical setup, live show execution, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Responsibilities
Support the execution of high-quality live events by working directly with the Head of Video Operations
Assist in planning video workflows for live events
Support equipment preparation, testing, and configuration (cameras, switchers, audio/video interfaces, monitors, etc.)
Operate or assist with live switching, playback, and monitoring feeds
Troubleshoot technical issues in real time, escalating critical problems as needed
Act as a point of contact for on-site video crews
Assist with load-out, equipment breakdown, and inventory checks
Support post-event deliverables such as recordings, backups, and handoffs
Document technical issues, lessons learned, and workflow improvements
Maintain organization and readiness of video gear and accessories
Assist with inventory management, maintenance, and basic repairs
Help test and evaluate new equipment, software, or workflows
Experience supporting multi-camera or hybrid (in-person + virtual) events
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks / projects at once
Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members
Highly motivated and extremely detail oriented
Strong communication and organizational skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Follow AVD’s guidelines to ensure high standards of production delivery and success

Qualification
Required
2 – 4+ years of experience in live event production, broadcast, or video operations
Experience with Analog Way/Black Magic/Roland/Barco/Panasonic equipment
Knowledge of both Windows and OSx operating systems
Strong understanding of signal flow, basic IT networking (digital workflow), and AV fundamentals
Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and adapt quickly during live events
Travel is required
