Canada Payroll Tax Analyst

Responsibilities
Manage Payroll tax processes across monthly, quarterly and year-end cycles
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual payroll taxes for federal, provincial and local jurisdictions
Investigate and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, penalties, and agency notices
Verify data for accuracy to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational policies and procedures
Monitor legislative changes and assess payroll tax impacts to maintain compliance
Provide guidance to the payroll processor regarding payroll runs
Prepare vacation liability reports for Canada sites
Coordinate vacation payouts
Perform other duties as assigned or apparent
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma at a minimum
Minimum of 2 years Payroll tax experience
Strong Knowledge of Canadian and US payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
PCP or PLP certification
Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proficiency in auditing techniques and advanced payroll compliance knowledge
Advanced Excel skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
