The American Brain Foundation is dedicated to supporting neurologists worldwide in providing exceptional care to their patients. As the Government Relations Program Manager, you will drive advocacy efforts by collaborating with a team to shape health policy and energize grassroots initiatives from the Washington, DC office.

Spearhead innovative initiatives
Keep your finger on the pulse of engagement trends—ensuring our policy voice remains strong and effective in the halls of government

Required

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field is required
Minimum of 1 year of experience studying or working on health care policy is required
Demonstrated ability to uphold the AAN's values is required
Demonstrated advanced oral and written communication skills are required
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
Anticipates needed actions; plans and follows through with work activities; dependable and focused on getting things done to achieve goals is required
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships is required
Demonstrated customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to internal and external customers in person, on the phone and through written and electronic correspondence is required

Preferred

Experience working on Capitol Hill or with state or federal legislation is preferred
Knowledge of Quorum or similar government relations software is preferred
Knowledge of federal or state policy, advocacy, grassroots and/or political affairs is preferred
