This hands-on, senior-level role involves acting as the technical owner of the Snowflake analytics platform, responsible for architecture decisions, infrastructure automation, security and governance implementation, and analytics engineering enablement.

Responsibilities
Architect and implement multi-environment Snowflake platforms (DEV, UAT, PROD) using Terraform as infrastructure as code
Define and enforce Snowflake standards for roles, warehouses, databases, schemas, grants, and naming conventions
Implement Snowflake security and governance controls, including RBAC, row-level security, column masking, tagging, and cost monitoring
Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules, remote state, and environment-specific configurations
Enable idempotent provisioning and promotion workflows through pull requests and approvals
Establish analytics engineering standards using dbt, including project structure, models, macros, tests, freshness checks, and documentation
Design and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for Terraform and dbt workflows
Develop runbooks, playbooks, and technical documentation to support operational handover
Deliver hands-on training and knowledge transfer sessions to client teams
Provide platform support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement recommendations
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake in enterprise or regulated environments
Proven experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code
Hands-on experience with dbt and modern analytics engineering practices
Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
Strong SQL skills and understanding of cloud data warehousing concepts
Experience implementing data security, governance, and operational best practices
Preferred
Experience acting as a data platform architect or senior technical lead
Experience working in public-sector or regulated environments
Strong documentation and enablement mindset
Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern DevOps/DataOps practices
