Project Manager
Ponder Environmental Services is looking for a Project Manager to support our Emergency Response and Environmental Operations of all company locations. The role involves managing projects, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring effective communication among staff and clients.

Responsibilities

Conduct staff meetings
Maintain and generate new business
Complete job walks and create bids to match clients’ needs
Strong consulting skills – understand the client’s needs and can develop strong client relationships
Capable of managing financial and technical aspects of projects
Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements
Maintains good communication with clients, dispatch, operations and crew members
Manage assigned personal, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, terminations, etc
Manages Supervisors and gives directions to employees on certain job tasks (including planning and assignment of field crews and drivers)
Capable of correctively completing a JSA/JHA, CSE permit, & rescue plans, and/or facility specific permits/paperwork
Operate heavy equipment
Develop and enforce company guidelines and rules as approved by the President
Coordinated all projects assignments needs with dispatch office and operations on a daily basis
Receive and execute daily operational direction provided by the Operations Manager and Directors
Work with the Operations Manager and Directors to and determine the department budget, future costs, and purchases
Deals with risk management, resource planning, inventory needs, etc
Interview potential candidates for field positions
Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills
Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills
Approve timecards and ensure they match the actual hours worked
Approve per diem for all field employees
Responsible for maintaining and managing all Emergency Response and field equipment (including regular maintenance on vehicles and equipment)
Work collaboratively with all staff members
Assist the Operations Manager and Directors with projects as needed
Immediately reports all accidents, near misses, and injuries involving employee or others to the Safety Manager over the area
Obeys all traffic laws and regulations when operating and driving company vehicles
Overtime and travel as required and approved
Other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (or combination of education and experience)
Five years of related experience
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the public
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and other mathematical skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and to problem solving
Basic working knowledge of QuickBooks, Accounting software, ADP Payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suites, etc
