They are seeking a driven Supply Chain Manager to oversee supply chain functions across multiple nursery locations, managing relationships, procurement, and logistics to deliver seedlings for reforestation projects.

Responsibilities

Manage third-party vendor relationships and partnership matters such as inventory planning, quality control, logistics and cold storage
Responsible for general production oversight, ensuring all nurseries are on track to meet contract standards and the expectations and goals of upcoming carbon projects
Ensure all trees are delivered on time and ready to plant
Ensure all nurseries are complying with Living Carbon standards and regulations as well as reporting and tracking any quality concerns that may impact inventory
Providing detailed risk management solutions for all aspects of the supply chain

Required

3-5 years of supply chain management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Experience managing supply chains for perishable goods, or time-sensitive agricultural/horticultural operations (nurseries, greenhouses, floral, produce, landscaping, or related fields strongly preferred)
Proven track record managing multi-location operations (facilities or nurseries)
Strong understanding of quality management systems and production planning
Experience with inventory optimization, management, and demand forecasting
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Agriculture, or related field preferred but not required
Understanding of the unique challenges of working with living products (seasonality, quality degradation, care requirements, timing sensitivity)
Experience with negotiating and managing complex supplier contracts
Track record of implementing process improvements that drive efficiency
Ability to thrive in a collaborative startup team environment where you'll wear multiple hats and quickly take ownership of the responsibilities in the domain

Excel at making data-driven decisions quickly in dynamic environments
