SVP, Senior Relationship Manager - Specialty Deposits

Responsibilities
Takes a consultative approach with clients and matches clients with the right set of products
Meets product revenue goals
In a client centric way, seeks opportunities to improve the Bank’s NII through product sales and cross sell of fee-based products
Manage product price concessions, ECRs, and fee waivers
Drives deposit growth consistent with bank’s appetite and at direction of Manager
Recommend deposit pricing that ensures retention and promotes growth as market interest rates change (while optimizing deposit margin for the bank)
For existing clients, completes systematic relationship reviews and executes on cross-sell plan
Identify and grow industry vertical niches that match Bank’s strategy, markets, and competitive positioning
Provides continuous communication with Product Management, Deposit Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure we have competitive product set and each client’s experience with the bank is timely, professional, and of high quality
Partners with Marketing to maintain right visibility and create marketing collateral to support strategy
Maintains strong knowledge of risk and compliance – including BSA/AML, information security/fraud, and identity theft
Completes all compliance certifications timely
Works with Credit Administration/Portfolio Management to facilitate client’s credit needs in accordance with industry vertical norms and Banc’s credit appetite
Contributes to a high performance culture and fosters collaboration within the team/bank
Coaches and mentors junior team members at all levels
Demonstrates sales leadership, professionalism, and a results-oriented approach to day to day activities
Is highly visible at industry events, with prospects, clients and all key internal partners

Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive experience in commercial banking, treasury, or specialty deposits with significant executive leadership responsibility
8+ years of progressive experience in commercial banking, treasury, or specialty deposits with significant leadership responsibility
Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
Strong understanding of business credit and underwriting
Advanced sales skills and working knowledge of Commercial Banking, Community Banking, and Private Banking, and Real Estate segments
Contributed to growth in specialty deposit businesses, delivering measurable impact on enterprise profitability and market positioning
Excellent technical banking knowledge and insight into specialty client segments, driving differentiated service models and market expansion (e.g., fintech, escrow, fiduciaries, government entities)
Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements for specialty deposits
Strong strategic thinking, business development, and relationship management skills
Proven ability to support the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
