Global Marketing Director
Starboard Maritime Intelligence is a mission-driven maritime intelligence platform supporting governments and critical-infrastructure operators. They are seeking a Global Marketing Director to evolve their marketing function into a strategic enterprise influence engine, focusing on brand authority and engagement within priority accounts.
Responsibilities
Lead Starboard’s global marketing strategy across Defence & Intelligence and Critical Maritime Infrastructure
Shift marketing from lead generation to an influence-led, enterprise and government-focused model
Design and run account-based marketing for named accounts, priority programmes, and long-cycle deals
Build global credibility through thought leadership, PR, and policy-aware communications, with a strong focus on the US and UK
Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Exec to support complex bids, partnerships, and multi-year contracts
Build and scale the marketing function, including team design, agencies, and marketing operations
Qualification
Required
10+ years in enterprise or B2B marketing, ideally within technology, defence, intelligence, or critical infrastructure
Proven experience leading ABM and supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise or government deals
Strong commercial judgement and experience working directly with Sales on long procurement cycles
Credibility with senior government, defence, or regulated-industry audiences
Experience operating at executive level, with the ability to remain hands-on when needed
International marketing experience, particularly in the US
Have held citizenship for 10+ years in one of the following: NZ, AU, CA, UK, or US
Be willing to undergo a security/police check
