Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain enterprise grade cybersecurity standards and procedures
Lead the incident response team in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security breaches
Document technical issues and resolutions clearly in the ticketing system
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
Provide remote and on-site support as needed, ensuring timely and professional communication with end users
Implement security tools such as, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
Collaborate with the service desk, the project team, operations, and compliance, to align security initiatives with business goals
Report security metrics and incidents. Patching compliance
Monitor emerging threats and recommend proactive measures
Ensure security and compliance with frameworks such as SOC, CMMC, HIPPA, and NIST
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Strong understanding of network security, encryption, threat intelligence, and regulatory compliance
4+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks
Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments
Excellent communication and project management skills
Familiarity with endpoint protection tools, firewalls, and network troubleshooting
Experience with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools
Due to the nature of our work supporting U.S. Department of Defense contractors and systems subject to DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC Level 2 requirements, this position requires access to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and export-controlled data. Accordingly, employment is limited to U.S. persons as defined in 22 C.F.R. 120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
