Responsibilities
Work between suppliers and Honeywell Engineering, Quality, Supplier Development Engineers (SDE), and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC)
Troubleshoot material and process issues, and providing technical solutions for rapid problem solving
Internal engineering support for casting development, drawing reviews and process improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
4+ years of experience in materials/process engineering in the casting industry
4+ years experience with nickel, aluminum, steel, and/or titanium aerospace cast alloys
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree with specialization in Materials Science, Material Engineering, Metallurgy, Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Advanced degree in engineering or another related field a plus
Understanding and hands-on experience in casting (Investment/sand casting production processes are a plus)
Familiarity with industrial materials and processing specifications
Familiarity with Nadcap and industry standards, requirements and approvals
Capable of assessing new suppliers and determining their strengths and weaknesses
Experience with conducting casting supplier audits (investment castings, and sand casting audits are a plus)
Working with and developing suppliers
Working with Design Engineering
Understanding engineering drawings and requirements
Experience in Six Sigma, Lean and other process improvement tools
