Responsibilities
Maintain and operate Blackmagic Design routers/switchers and NewTek TriCaster systems
Design and support high-bandwidth networks for NDI, Dante, and SRT protocols
Manage a mixed OS environment featuring Windows workstations and Linux servers
Provide real-time technical support during live sports broadcasts to ensure zero downtime
Perform routine maintenance on studio cameras, signal converters, and rack-mounted equipment
Ensure the production network is secure yet accessible for remote contributions and streaming
Qualification
Required
Degree in Information Technology, Broadcast Engineering, or equivalent field experience
Experience in a live control room environment (Sports experience preferred)
Ability to troubleshoot complex signal paths under high-pressure, 'on-air' situations
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on the sports schedule
Broadcast Operations: Maintain and operate Blackmagic Design routers/switchers and NewTek TriCaster systems
AV-over-IP Management: Design and support high-bandwidth networks for NDI, Dante, and SRT protocols
Systems Administration: Manage a mixed OS environment featuring Windows workstations and Linux servers
Live Production Support: Provide real-time technical support during live sports broadcasts to ensure zero downtime
Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on studio cameras, signal converters, and rack-mounted equipment
Network Security: Ensure the production network is secure yet accessible for remote contributions and streaming
Broadcast Equipment: Expert-level knowledge of Blackmagic ATEM, Smart Videohub, and TriCaster TC1/2 Elite
Networking: Strong grasp of Layer 2/3 networking, VLANs, and Multicast (specifically for NDI/Dante)
Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows (10/11/Server) and Linux (Ubuntu/Debian preferred)
Signal Flow: Deep understanding of SDI, HDMI, and IP-based video transport
Encoding: Familiarity with hardware and software encoders for RTMP/HLS delivery
