Co-Op Business: Procurement
Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo) is working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. They are seeking a driven student for a Co-Op position in Procurement to gain real-world experience related to procurement, supply chain, finance, and accounting, while supporting various departmental activities.
Responsibilities
Provide a broad range of procurement and supply chain related support to the department working within established procedures and desk guide
Learn about the day-to-day activities associated with the CPCCo Procurement position
Assisting with task order closeout activities to help meet prime contract closeout deadlines
Performing reviews of invoice data to help assess adequacy of newly implemented oversight controls
Researching resolutions to invoice queries
Assist with maintenance of various SharePoint and Excel databases
Develop a working knowledge of the following: Asset Suite, PowerBI, the Business Management System (BMS), and MS Excel
Support audit activities
Qualification
Required
A U.S. citizen
At least 18 years of age
Maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) during their college enrollment
Currently enrolled with either Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSU-TC), Columbia Basin College (CBC), or any online student living local to the Tri-Cities, WA
Students will be sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate status and enrolled full-time, as determined by the institution
Willing and able to work 15-40 hours a week on a Monday - Thursday, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. schedule
Actively enrolled in a full-time degree program that relates to CPCCo, with emphasis in specific disciplines that support the cleanup mission and aligns with the critical skills and job assignment requirements
Preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to effectively interact with and convey information to company personnel and management
Ability to work independently and in a team environment with attention to detail
Motivated to learn, have a questioning attitude, and be forward thinking
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, and more importantly Excel)
