Responsibilities

Assist mortgage loan borrowers to determine their needs and recommend the most beneficial loan products, while advising and guiding them throughout the entire loan process

Review financial information from borrowers pertaining to Refinance, Purchase, Construction/Rehab, Secondary Market loans, FHA, and VA loans

Knowledgeable in various types of mortgage loans, including FHA and VA loans

Maintain an active knowledge base of all GECU’s loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant

Ensure loans meet current secondary market standards along with GECU portfolio guidelines

Prepare initial loan disclosures for borrower review in accordance with federally regulated deadlines

Monitor processing pipeline daily to ensure required documentation is received in a timely manner

Develop relationships with realtors, builders, developers, and sales agents to generate mortgage loans

Maintain the required MLO designation

Must be detail-oriented and capable of prioritizing work responsibilities in an organized manner

Engage in continuing education as needed

Performs other duties as assigned
