They are seeking a Senior Windows Kernel Driver Engineer to work on core engineering initiatives involving Windows kernel drivers, system-level filtering, and endpoint security functionality.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Windows kernel-mode drivers supporting endpoint and security use cases
Lead kernel driver migration and modernization efforts across existing platforms (brownfield environment)
Work extensively with the Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) and related kernel subsystems
Perform advanced kernel debugging , crash dump analysis, and root-cause investigations
Build and enhance system diagnostics and telemetry to improve reliability and observability
Collaborate with security, platform, and user-mode engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Ensure drivers meet strict requirements around performance, stability, and security
Support releases across multiple Windows versions and environments

Required

8+ years of experience in Windows kernel driver engineering
Deep expertise with Windows kernel internals, including kernel-mode development and debugging
Strong experience with the Windows Filtering Platform (WFP)
Proven ability to debug complex kernel issues using tools such as WinDbg, crash dumps, and live debugging
Experience working in brownfield codebases with legacy components and large installed bases
Strong C/C++ skills for low-level systems programming

Preferred

Background in endpoint security, endpoint management, or OS-level security platforms
Experience migrating or refactoring legacy kernel drivers
Familiarity with driver signing, WHQL, and Windows security requirements
Experience building drivers that interact with user-mode services
Exposure to performance tuning and reliability engineering at the kernel level
