They are seeking a relationship-driven Government Relations Associate to support bipartisan congressional engagement work.

Responsibilities
Serve as a relationship-builder-in-chief with Congressional offices and stakeholders, proactively recruiting new partners, collaborators, and attendees for the organization’s programs
Support the planning and execution of congressional convenings for Members of Congress, Chiefs of Staff, and senior and policy staff
Conduct targeted outreach to Hill offices to drive strong attendance and sustained engagement, with a focus on professionalism, discretion, and follow-through
Cultivate trusted relationships with congressional staff across the political spectrum
Assist with event logistics end-to-end, including venue coordination, guest tracking, materials preparation, and day-of execution
Represent APV at briefings, receptions, and Hill events to maintain visibility and build goodwill with key stakeholders
Track outreach, invitations, and follow-up to ensure consistent relationship management and institutional memory
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of experience on Capitol Hill, in political organizations, or in policy-adjacent nonprofit work
Familiarity with House and Senate office culture and comfort engaging professionally with senior staff
Experience working with, or strong interest in working alongside, ideologically diverse offices, including policymakers across the political spectrum
Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment, with the ability to operate behind the scenes and handle sensitive interactions with discretion
Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
