Mid LevelAperture Group is seeking an Environmental Health Safety Specialist for a 6-month contract role. The specialist will assist in enforcing safety standards, support incident investigations, and manage data related to safety and environmental performance.

Responsibilities
Assist Site Supervisor and enforce safety standards
Support incident/accident investigations
Support activities that promote staff ownership in safety and environmental programs
Manage all incident/accident investigations
Gather and report data on safety and environmental performance, compliance, expenses and incidents
Other duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Must have CSP, ASP, or CHST in hand
Must be able to start ASAP post-offer
Thorough understanding of OSHA 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, NESC, and utility-specific safety protocols
Knowledge of high-voltage transmission, substations, underground utilities, and renewable energy systems
Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., TapRooT, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram)
Awareness of EPA, DOT, and state-level environmental compliance relevant to utility projects
