Responsibilities

You will serve as a Lead Human Resources Specialist (Military) and be responsible for leading the branch work effort in correcting personnel data errors in the automated personnel database
Reviews member records to identify data errors and make corrections as required, ensuring all data changes are documented, and all team members adhere to established procedures for maintaining member record accuracy, security and confidentiality
Performing lead, administrative and human resource functions
Establishing guidelines and performance expectations for staff members
Observing workers' performance; demonstrating and conducting work performance critiques
Performing analyses and reviews of military service data to develop accurate documentation of creditable military service and audits the work products of team members to ensure accuracy
Providing work instructions, checking on work in progress; identifying and resolving any problems from completing work for team members
Reviewing and analyzing new or revised human resources policies, procedures, and guidelines; providing interpretation to managers and employees
Developing and monitoring action plans for human resource projects, and prepare program status reports

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal sector
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
Submit a copy of your college transcript (unofficial is acceptable) from an accredited institution
Once selected & prior to appointment, applicants must provide an official college transcript
If you are qualifying based on education, you are required to provide all unofficial transcripts (undergraduate, graduate, etc.) by the closing date of this announcement or you will be disqualified from further consideration
If course content cannot be easily identified from the title of the course as listed on your transcript, you must submit an official course description from the college/university that reflects the content at the time the course was taken
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet Federal qualification requirements if you can show that your foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the United States
To receive this credit, you must submit evidence of equivalency as provided by a credentialling evaluation service
Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered
