Responsibilities

Perform a lead role in wetland delineations; must have strong wetland delineations skills including plant ID, soils and hydrology; familiarity with both state and federal delineation methodology and demonstrated experience with agency wetland reviews
Manage all aspects of projects including fieldwork and data collection, budgets, schedules, client interactions, and team coordination
Conduct wetland impact assessments based on Florida UMAM methodology
Conduct listed species surveys throughout Florida, perform gopher tortoise relocations as needed, and coordinate with agencies including FWC and USFWS
Assist with State (FDEP and WMD) and Section 404 (FDEP/USACE) wetland permitting
Understand and apply field survey methodologies and data forms to support feasibility studies, permitting and monitoring efforts
Experience with GIS Pro, ESRI Field Map, ArcGIS 123, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in the natural resources or environmental science field with 5+ years of experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience with knowledge of state and federal permitting (ERP and 404), performing wetland delineations and impact assessments, threatened and endangered species surveys and permitting, and experience with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Project Development & Environment (PD&E) procedure
Strong wetland delineations skills including plant ID, soils and hydrology; familiarity with both state and federal delineation methodology and demonstrated experience with agency wetland reviews
Manage all aspects of projects including fieldwork and data collection, budgets, schedules, client interactions, and team coordination
Conduct wetland impact assessments based on Florida UMAM methodology

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong technical writing skills to assist with environmental assessment reports, environmental feasibility, permitting and monitoring reports, NEPA documentation
Able to work both independently and as a team
Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written)

Preferred

Qualified caracara surveyor and Authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent is a plus but not required
