Responsibilities
Develops functional and system level test automation in a multi-tiered environment using modern frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter, Rest Assured and other industry tools approved for use at FRS as applicable
Using programming languages like C#, Python or Java with a modern IDE (Visual Studio, IntelliJ, or similar), and source code management products like TFS/Azure DevOps, GIT
Participate in requirements gathering sessions and translate functional and technical requirements into comprehensive test cases and test scripts
Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and/or performance test
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using approved tools
Evaluate software performance and current test methodologies, recommend process improvements
Manage defects and collaborate with development staff to resolve issues
Plan and estimate testing efforts in collaboration with project team
Coach/mentor/share expertise with FRS personnel
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent significant experience in information technology and software testing is required
Minimum of 7 years of experience designing and developing test automation using a software development approach
Minimum of 7 years of automation development experience with technologies described below
Familiar with Source control like Git
Hands on experience in coding languages like Java libraries, Junit, TestNg
Build and maintain CI pipeline like Jenkins/ GitLab
Hands on experience in API testing like Rest Assured, Karate, Postman
Hands on experience in Cypress or similar javascript testing frameworks
Hands on experience with Selenium Webdriver automation (Java)
Hands on experience in BDD testing (Gherkin scenario and step definition files)
Database testing
Mobile testing framework like Appium
Good foundation in Agile methodology
Ability to create complex database queries for data retrieval used in test scenarios
Develops solutions and methodologies to automate testing of applications built using technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript (Angular), KendoUI, Bootstrap, Postman, SoapUI and other industry tools approved for use at FRS as applicable
Scaling test efforts and building reusable components over multiple engagements
Generate and share test execution reports
