Responsibilities

Create, review, and execute slotting plans, including location assignments, storage parameters, product-to-slot mapping, and automation vs. conventional storage decisions
Coordinate and communicate inventory moves (cases, pallets, containers) with warehouse operations leadership to ensure accurate placement
Update WMS and automation systems with slotting and location data, ensuring system records align with physical inventory
Optimize slotting and technology locations based on product velocity, size, weight, packaging, pick frequency, customer requirements, and safety considerations
Re-slot or relocate inventory in response to demand shifts, SKU changes, or operational improvements
Partner with fulfillment and picking teams to evaluate workflows and ensure slot locations support efficient order execution
Conduct regular audits of slot locations to verify accuracy, labeling, barcodes, and system alignment; resolve discrepancies with inventory control teams
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety within slotting areas, ensuring aisles, signage, floor markings, and equipment storage meet standards
Comply with safety, quality, and performance standards, including PPE usage and safe equipment operation
Support additional warehouse activities as needed, including cycle counts, replenishment, inbound receiving, and shipping preparation

Required

High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse slotting, inventory management, or material handling supervision within a distribution or fulfillment environment
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment; forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in both physical placement and system updates
Ability to interpret slotting plans, warehouse layouts, and diagrams and translate them into operational execution
Physically capable of performing warehouse work, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending, climbing, and maneuvering pallets
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Working knowledge of WMS platforms, RF scanning, warehouse technology, and basic Microsoft Office tools
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required

Preferred

Experience working in automated or robotics-enabled warehouse environments
Knowledge of lean practices, process improvement, or warehouse optimization methodologies
