Responsibilities
Conduct and execute research studies using advanced research methods, such as surveys, interviews, ethnography, and quantitative and qualitative techniques, to gather customer insights
Analyze and interpret data, identify patterns and trends, and provide actionable recommendations to inform user experience design decisions and facilitate improvements in customer satisfaction and engagement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of user insights into product development processes based on research findings
Contribute to the creation and refinement of experience research strategies and connect craft work to business goals and success metrics, taking into consideration downstream implications
Stay current with industry trends and incorporate knowledge into team insights
Design and implement thorough research studies to uncover customer needs, preferences, and behaviors, driving product enhancements and innovation
Utilize advanced quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze and interpret data, transforming insights into actionable recommendations for improving user experience
Conduct surveys and interviews with users to collect information on their needs and desires, developing user testing scenarios to refine products or features based on the findings
Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the user experience design team
Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in user experience research methodologies, integrating innovative techniques to maintain a competitive advantage in the market
Create frameworks and artifacts that inspire and drive consensus and action across various business functions
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in generative and evaluative user experience research, employing advanced research methods and techniques
Demonstrated proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including survey and interview design, ethnography, and data analysis
Advanced knowledge of user experience design principles and practices, with a focus on how ethnographic principles influence effective user experiences
Advanced understanding of current research methodologies, with the ability to review and understand how to apply current research practices to better inform experience designs
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, and developers, to drive customer-centric decision-making and inform product prioritization
Skilled in designing high-quality research studies with an iterative approach, capable of adapting study parameters to meet evolving product design needs
Proficient in connecting research insights across other business functions to maximize the impact of research efforts
Preferred
Previous experience or knowledge of the travel industry and online travel agencies (OTAs)
Ability to navigate ambiguity, set clear expectations, and align with stakeholders to maximize the impact and clarity of research efforts
Capability to swiftly pivot research efforts to support the needs of the team QUAD
Advanced presentation and storytelling based on research insights to cross-functional teams
