Responsibilities
Design and build data pipelines to ingest, normalize, and validate education data
Work with Snowflake as a source system and downstream consumers
Implement data quality checks, reconciliation logic, and schema enforcement
Support ML/AI use cases by preparing clean, structured, and explainable datasets
Collaborate with backend engineers on API-driven data flows
Prove compliance, lineage, and migration viability of data assets
Qualification
Required
Strong Python for data engineering
Experience with FastAPI and JSON-based services
AWS: Lambda, SQS, SNS
Containerization with Docker
Kubernetes exposure (EKS)
CI/CD pipelines (PR-based workflows)
Snowflake (read-heavy usage)
Infrastructure awareness: Terraform, Jenkins
High tolerance for ambiguity and evolving data definitions
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Comfortable pushing back when data doesn't make sense
Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional pods
Preferred
Experience with ML/AI data preparation or feature engineering
Education domain or public-sector data experience
Cognito or identity-aware data systems
