Responsibilities

Perform testing, peer review, and reporting for all test methods for laboratory area

Train workforce on technical processes and SOP’s for the laboratory area

Schedule or oversee scheduling as assigned for the laboratory area

Recommend process improvement initiatives based on observation and data collection

Manage laboratory projects by assigning resources and monitoring timelines and metrics

Help team meet safety, quality, timeliness, productivity, and cost control objectives

Ensure that equipment is maintained in proper operating condition and ensure that the necessary documentation is organized and accessible

Ensure appropriate technical support for laboratory area

Perform other duties as requested

Required

1-2 years of college or technical training or equivalent required. (High School Diploma/GED required)

2 to 5 years of laboratory experience plus demonstrated technical and training skills

Knowledge of standard lab procedures and instrumentation

Able to work well in a production team environment with strong organizational skills

Consistent attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills

Ability to work a fixed Day Shift which includes one weekend day shift

Preferred

BS/BA in a related science field or an equivalent combination of experience and coursework

Demonstrated troubleshooting skills

Detailed equipment knowledge for work in area

Specific method knowledge

Computer skills with laboratory LIMS and instrumentation software
