Territory Sales Manager

Responsibilities

Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with independent agents in the assigned territory
Support agents with both auto and property lines, helping them understand coverage, appetite, and how to position Commonwealth
Identify growth opportunities, onboard new agencies, and help existing partners increase production
Drive new business and retention through consistent visits, calls, and follow-up
Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Underwriting, Claims, and Product to represent agent needs and ensure smooth operations
Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions on products, appetite, system navigation, and sales techniques
Use CRM tools to log activity, manage pipelines, and track KPIs
Review data and performance trends to build action plans and identify opportunities
Represent Commonwealth at trade shows, events, and industry meetings
Act as a resource and consultant; helping agents sell value and coverage the right way

Required

2+ years of experience in a Territory Manager, Field Rep, or agency-facing role within personal lines insurance
Working knowledge of property lines (HO, MH, landlord, renters) and a strong understanding of underwriting basics
Familiarity with the Arizona independent agency landscape and competitive environment
Proven ability to build credibility and deepen relationships with agents
Strong communication, presentation, and follow-up skills
Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and basic reporting tools (Excel/Power BI)
Self-driven, organized, and able to manage a field schedule effectively
Someone who values partnership, accountability, and doing right by agents and customers
