Senior Accounting Manager

Lisinski Law Firm is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the daily financial operations of the firm. This role involves ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards while leading the accounting team and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or other relevant accounting standards
Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department including the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
Eliminate manual accounting processes through automation and the integration of new technologies and systems
Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
Assign duties and review team members’ work to ensure proper handling and completion of duties
Assist with tax compliance and reporting
Work with external auditors

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
5-7 years of experience in a dynamic accounting environment
3-5 years in a leadership role managing a team
Extensive experience in accounting and financial management
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Leadership and management experience
Strong understanding of internal controls

Preferred

master's degree
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification
CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification
