Responsibilities
Oversee daily retail, food, coffee, and vending operations to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery
Manage the full scope of employee supervision, including performance standards and appraisals, scheduling, leave approval, and personnel actions in accordance with established policies and guidelines
Implement and monitor administrative controls, reviews, and operational processes to ensure effective and compliant canteen operations
Develop and execute local promotional initiatives to drive financial performance and achieve program objectives established by the Regional Director
Perform and adapt to additional responsibilities as needed
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of experience with the VCS or comparable management experience
Ability to analyze retail and food financial statements using trend analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions
Proven ability to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate retail, food, and vending programs, initiatives, and projects
Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing data to produce clear analytical reports, decision papers, and recommendations
Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations, with the ability to book official travel and complete post-travel vouchers using approved systems
Ability to assume full operational oversight in the absence of senior leadership, rapidly assessing challenges and identifying opportunities to improve performance and advance the VCS mission
Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring consistent customer service standards across all staff
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality or Retail Management, or a related field
