Responsibilities
Receive, review, and distribute vendor invoices
Verify approvals and accurately code invoices using appropriate cost elements and charge numbers
Enter and process invoices in the JAMIS accounting system, including generation of payments such as checks, direct deposits, and wire transfers
Research and resolve vendor payment issues and discrepancies
Reconcile invoices and provide support for materials and services purchased
Prepare reports and provide general assistance to business management staff as needed
Perform additional accounting or administrative duties as required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior accounts payable experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Understanding of three-way matching
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and employees at all levels
Experience researching and resolving accounting or payment issues
Preferred
Experience with labor processing or account reconciliations
Experience supporting government contracting environments
Prior experience using JAMIS
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with frequent interruptions
