Managing Director - Workiva Advisory Services
Executive Staffing Group (ESG) is a high-growth advisory firm transforming how finance, risk, compliance, and ESG teams operate. They are seeking a Managing Director to lead their Workiva advisory practice, responsible for shaping the vision, growing the team, and scaling strategic engagements across compliance reporting, ESG, SOX, internal controls, and financial reporting transformation.

Responsibilities
Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for Workiva services across compliance, ESG, finance transformation, and internal audit
Build strategic relationships with Workiva alliance/channel teams, aligning with co-sell motions and marketing initiatives
Drive pipeline generation and originate new client opportunities, including both net-new and existing accounts
Represent the firm as a thought leader at conferences, webinars, and executive roundtables related to Workiva use cases
Serve as an executive sponsor and senior advisor on Workiva platform implementations, enablement, and optimization
Guide clients in transforming their reporting and compliance functions, integrating Workiva with upstream and downstream systems (ERP, GRC, ESG platforms, etc.)
Ensure quality of delivery across programs, bringing deep subject matter expertise in compliance reporting, SOX, ESG, and connected data strategies
Scale and lead a high-performing Workiva delivery team, including consultants, solution architects, and client success managers
Define service offerings, delivery frameworks, and accelerators for Workiva implementations and managed services
Partner across the firm’s broader Finance, Risk, and ESG practices to ensure integrated client delivery
Qualification
Required
15+ years of consulting or advisory experience, with a proven track record in compliance, risk, reporting, or ESG transformation
Deep understanding of the Workiva platform, including Wdesk, Wdata, and ESG modules
Demonstrated success leading Workiva implementations or optimization projects across multiple use cases (SOX, ESG, SEC reporting, etc.)
Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders and drive transformation agendas
Experience in originating and closing $3M–$5M+ in annual revenue in a consulting or SaaS-enabled services environment
Ability to build and scale a high-performing team in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Workiva certification(s) strongly preferred

Experience working within or advising public companies, particularly with complex reporting and compliance needs
Familiarity with ERP, GRC, or ESG platforms that integrate with Workiva (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OneTrust, Persefoni)
Prior experience at a top-tier consulting firm or a specialized risk/compliance advisory boutique
Passion for building modern reporting ecosystems that reduce manual work, increase control, and unlock business insight
