Calibration Technician

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality calibration services for asphalt, soil, and concrete testing equipment
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the service lifecycle
Support the gauge service team and assist with additional operational tasks as needed
Perform full three-block and five-block gauge calibrations
Prepare and deliver calibration reports and documentation to meet customer and compliance requirements
Perform calibration activities in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards
Utilize proprietary calibration software during the calibration process
Build standard blocks and maintain gauges through cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and diagnostics
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory workspace
Provide timely updates to customers to ensure a high-quality service experience
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Required

Entry-level candidates are eligible with a mechanical or related degree and strong laboratory project experience
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication abilities
Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets, forms, correspondence, and certificates
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with minimal supervision
Willingness to work in laboratory environments involving asphalt, concrete, and soil materials
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
Ability to stand for extended periods while working with equipment
Must meet eligibility requirements for company vehicle insurance coverage

Preferred

Preference for candidates with one to three years of hands-on laboratory or calibration experience
