Operations Director
Pennant is a holding company of independent operating subsidiaries that provide healthcare services through home health and hospice agencies. The Operations Director plays a critical role in driving operational excellence across the Alpha North and Alpha South offices, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality administrative performance.
Responsibilities
Lead cross‑functional administrative teams including Intake, Authorization & Eligibility, Medical Records, and Scheduling
Build and coach high‑performing teams through clear expectations, continuous feedback, and accountability
Foster a culture of collaboration and ownership focused on quality, efficiency, and patient‑centered service
Analyze and optimize end‑to‑end workflows to reduce delays, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve speed‑to‑care
Use data, process mapping, and frontline insights to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions
Develop SOPs and performance benchmarks that support scalability and operational consistency across locations
Establish and track KPIs for administrative teams to measure efficiency, compliance, and patient access
Translate KPI trends into actionable improvements that enhance productivity and operational outcomes
Partner with clinical leadership, billing, and business development to ensure operational readiness aligns with census growth and payer requirements
Maintain compliance with Medicare, payer, and regulatory standards including documentation accuracy and audit preparedness
Serve as a hands‑on operational leader providing real‑time problem solving, escalation support, and day‑to‑day guidance
Lead change management initiatives by communicating goals, training teams, and ensuring adoption of new workflows
Licensed driver with a reliable, insured vehicle for regular travel between the Mt. Vernon and Everett offices
Ability to work standard business hours (Monday–Friday) with occasional flexibility for operational needs
Comfortable traveling between multiple office locations to maintain consistent leadership presence
Proficient in Microsoft Office, HCHB and other software systems; strong technical aptitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and clinical leadership
Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing operational demands
