The Commercial Loan Closer is responsible for setting up customer and loan information in the banking system and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements during the closing of commercial loans.

Responsibilities

Orders and compiles loan documents in preparation for closing; works in conjunction with regionally assigned Relationship Managers, attorneys and title companies to execute requests and to ensure timely responses

Establish and onboard borrowers, guarantors, facilities, loans, collateral and fees on the core commercial loan system in accordance with the credit agreement

Performs quality reviews of Commercial loan files for accuracy as it relates to compliance with bank loan policies and procedures to assist in identifying training needs

Knowledgeable in all aspects of Commercial loan documentation, understanding of legal entities and loan documents such as notes, security agreements, loan/credit agreements, etc

Reviews final documents for completion and accuracy and ensures credit approval memo, loan approval system and credit agreement are consistent

Required

3+ years of Commercial loan closing, operations or lending experience

High School diploma or equivalent required

Extensive knowledge of commercial and business banking loans with a strong understanding of accounting principles, loan processing procedures, and related regulations

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) and ability to navigate loan and bank software applications and related websites

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and concern for accuracy

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively research and resolve issues and discrepancies

Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties

Solid analytical and decision-making skills
