Senior Workforce Data Analyst - Part Time

The State of Maine's Department of Labor is seeking a Senior Workforce Data Analyst to contribute to the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) team. This part-time position involves collecting, reviewing, and classifying data from employers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of labor market information.

Research the nature of business to assign industry codes to employer accounts
Contacts employers to collect information and obtain clarification regarding provided data
Enters, and reviews for quality, data provided by employers
Analyzes, reviews, and edits data to ensure accuracy and completeness

Intermediate to advanced education, training, and/or experience in data analysis, data collection, data production, labor statistics, economics, or another related field with demonstrated experience in a role working with data and providing mentorship

Preferred

Knowledge of, experience in the following: Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages or other labor statistics programs
Industry classification (North American Industry Classification System)
Data collection
QUEST or other labor statistics software
