Facilities Systems Technician Lead
The University of Kentucky is seeking a Facilities Systems Technician Lead to support their 24/7 Call Center Operation. This role involves operating and monitoring building automation systems, responding to alarms, and ensuring effective communication and problem-solving in emergency situations.

Responsibilities
Operating and monitoring building automation systems
Managing critical life safety and security systems, including fire exit door alarm systems, incoming fire alarms, elevator alarms
Operating equipment to receive, process, and disseminate incoming alarms and general information calls
Receiving and evaluating incoming requests for public safety assistance and routing requests to appropriate field unit(s)
Using discretion in determining severity of situations and appropriate responses
Utilizing problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for effective resolution
Reporting hazardous situations, accidents, incidents, and injuries to leadership
Communicating effectively with customers at all levels
Preparing and maintaining daily activity and emergency event logs
Adhering to and enforcing departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Understanding and complying with emergency procedures
Working cooperatively with superiors and other employees
Maintaining real-time situational awareness
Demonstrating professional integrity and accountability
Completing end of shift reports and communicating with incoming shift team members
Completing required call center documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Supporting the Facilities Systems Supervisor in providing direction and oversight of shift team members
Intervening in customer concerns as necessary
Providing input to Facilities Systems Supervisor regarding staff performance and accountability
Qualification
Required
AA
3 yrs
Preferred
Driver's License — Preferred
Associate's Degree + 3 Years
Technical/Skills Training + 4 Years
High School + 5 Years
