Responsibilities

Serves as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization in developing technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for area of responsibility

Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance

Applies interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions

Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all interfaces

Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers and technical leads

Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

Conduct regular performance reviews and career development planning

Collaborate with Risk Management stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions

Drive the architecture and implementation of risk-related platforms, including credit risk, operational risk, compliance, and enterprise risk systems

Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with regulatory requirements

Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and support

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation

Champion agile practices and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software

Partner with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, data governance, and cybersecurity teams

Communicate effectively with senior leadership and business partners

Represent technology in risk governance forums and audits

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field

Ten (10) years of relevant experience

Five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience

Ability to manage multiple projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills

Strong organizational skills

Preferred

Experience in Technology role in banking or financial services industry

8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

Experience in financial services or risk management domains

Strong understanding of modern development frameworks, cloud technologies, and data platforms

Familiarity with risk analytics, modeling, and reporting tools

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) are a plus
