Responsibilities
Design and implement security strategies, architectures, and platforms, including AI and AI security solutions
Develop actionable security blueprints, principles, standards, models, and guidelines aligned with enterprise architecture
Ensure required security controls are embedded into all technical designs
Design sub-components of larger security architecture initiatives
Perform enterprise due-diligence activities, including security monitoring and security metrics
Participate in security governance and enterprise architecture strategy efforts
Serve as a security architecture subject matter expert to business leaders, project teams, and vendors
Evaluate, select, and implement security technologies, including build vs. buy analysis
Investigate, document, and report on security threats and incidents; conduct post-incident reviews
Maintain architectural, operational, and design documentation
Troubleshoot complex security issues and execute remediation plans
Develop prototypes and working security solutions based on architectural designs
Provide technical guidance to less experienced security architects
Continuously benchmark security technologies and monitor emerging threats and trends
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience as a Security or Cybersecurity Architect supporting progressively complex IT initiatives
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional experience
ACTIVE CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) — required at time of submission
Preferred
2+ years of cloud security experience
IAM experience supporting both workforce and consumer identity solutions
Experience securing APIs and modern application architectures
Health care or health insurance industry experience
Additional active security certifications (CISM, CISA, etc.)
Experience working in Agile environments
