Responsibilities
Administer the Construction Program within an area or corridor
Act as a first line supervisor to have charge of varied and difficult transportation engineering work in the field or office involving the supervision of engineers and others engaged in transportation development activities
Administer major and minor construction projects ensuring contract compliance
Act within the authority of the State Contract Act, the "Engineer's Authority" of the Standard Specifications, the Caltrans Construction Manual, and any other applicable administrative instructions
Qualification
Required
Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers is required
Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required
Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date in order to be considered
Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov. All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position
