Responsibilities

Collaborate with university leadership and campus partners on high-impact, mission-aligned projects that support institutional priorities. Contribute fresh perspectives and innovative thinking to Presidential initiatives and university-wide efforts. Identify areas of interest across campus and build collaborative relationships to support those areas once identified
Assist in the planning and execution of key university events such as Hope Summit, Parent & Family Weekend and Board of Trustees meetings. Support event logistics, guest experience and post-event follow-up in coordination with the Office of the President
Develop internal and external communications assets, compile reports and carry out research supporting projects within and adjacent to the Office of the President
Foster alignment and collaboration between the Office of the President and other campus units by serving as a connector across initiatives. Represent the Office of the President with professionalism and purpose in all settings, both formal and informal
Engage in mentorship, professional development and vocational exploration under the guidance of university leaders. Gain exposure to university leadership teams and develop a deeper understanding of higher education administration
Support a seamless student-to-alumni transition by representing the young alumni experience, developing engagement opportunities, and offering insights to inform institutional growth and strengthen alumni relations

Required

Experience working in a fast-paced environment (both independently and in groups) and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work
Ability to work collaboratively, cordially and effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Demonstrated commitment to the Belmont community through involvement as a student
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and utmost professionalism
Approach work with curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow
Ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni and donors
Display strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
Maintain strict confidentiality
Must have experience and proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency with Teams, Zoom and Banner is preferred
Bachelor's degree from Belmont University required
Actively involved in campus life for 1 or more years while a student at Belmont University
