Controller
Masked Rider Capital is a private equity–backed family office with a diversified portfolio. The Controller will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance, while also managing accounting processes across the family office and its investments.

Responsibilities
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the family office, investment entities, and select portfolio companies
Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements, consolidations, and management reports
Oversee cash management, intercompany transactions, and capital allocations
Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
Run all aspects of payroll, health, and retirement benefits
Track and account for investments, capital contributions, distributions, valuations, and realized/unrealized gains
Coordinate with deal teams on transaction accounting for acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, and restructurings
Coordinate with external tax advisors on entity-level and individual tax filings, K-1s, and tax planning strategies
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, banking, and reporting requirements
Manage audit, review, and valuation processes with external auditors
Manage and mentor accounting staff or outsourced service providers
Serve as a trusted financial partner to the family principals and CFO
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including private equity, family office, investment management, or complex multi-entity environments
Strong knowledge of GAAP, consolidation accounting, and investment accounting
High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
Preferred
Experience in a family office or closely held investment platform
Experience working with auditors, valuation firms, and tax advisors
Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar
