Offender Information Specialist I
Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking candidates for an Offender Information Specialist I at the Kentucky Correctional Institution for Women. This position performs sentencing calculations to determine parole eligibility and maintains offender records within the facility.

Responsibilities
Maintain electronic information and manual filing systems for all female inmates files; admissions, active inmate, paroled, shock probation, serve-outs In-Active
Respond to request for information according to open records statutes
Review, implement, and process court order trips; calculate and compute inmate sentences; coordinate placement and removal of detainers
Implement all functions associated with receiving and discharging inmates to and from the Department of Corrections
Communicate with courts, county and state agencies, public, inmates, and institutional staff regarding inmates’ official record. Interpret, adhere to, and enforce all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to inmate records
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
Administrative, legal, paralegal, law enforcement, or offender records work experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis
