Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate complex academic-personnel actions, including:
Tenure-track and career-track faculty hiring
Promotion & Tenure (P&T) processes, committee coordination, and Provost Office submissions
Career-track and academic professional promotions
Annual performance evaluations
Probationary reviews and continuing appointment processes
Sabbatical applications and approvals
Emeritus/emerita nominations
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of all actions in accordance with ASU, college, and ABOR policies
Serve as the college’s recognized expert on academic-personnel policies, regulations, and procedures
Interpret and explain university and ABOR policies to faculty, directors, chairs, and senior leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
Serves as a resource within the college to perform HR activities and advises on policies, procedures, statues, and laws to ensure all human resources transactions are processed in accordance to policy and law
Manage and coordinate complex academic-personnel actions, including: Tenure-track and career-track faculty hiring, Promotion & Tenure (P&T) processes, committee coordination, and Provost Office submissions, Career-track and academic professional promotions, Annual performance evaluations, Probationary reviews and continuing appointment processes, Sabbatical applications and approvals, Emeritus/emerita nominations
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of all actions in accordance with ASU, college, and ABOR policies
Serve as the college's recognized expert on academic-personnel policies, regulations, and procedures
Interpret and explain university and ABOR policies to faculty, directors, chairs, and senior leadership

Preferred

Preference will be given to ASU candidates
Experience in academic-personnel administration, faculty affairs, or higher-education policy
Demonstrated expertise with Interfolio/APARS, RPT, ASU Vita, and faculty-review systems
Experience coordinating promotion and tenure processes at a college or university level
Strong writing/editing skills and familiarity with academic personnel correspondence
Ability to manage multiple complex workflows in a deadline-driven environment
Experience advising leadership and committees on policy and procedure
High attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
