KBW Financial is seeking an Accounting Manager for a growing biotech in the Boston area. This role will be responsible for GL accounting, GAAP and technical accounting matters, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting support.

Responsibilities

GL accounting, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, accruals (R&D and clinical), and account recons

Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for key accounts

Support timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

Implementing new processes and systems

SOX compliance and internal controls

Coordinate external auditors

Oversee one or more accountants

Ad-hoc projects as required

Qualification

Required

BS in Accounting or Finance

4+ years experience including public accounting

Biotech industry experience

GAAP compliance experience

Strong communication skills

Familiarity with R&D accruals, clinical trial accounting, and SOX a plus
