Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and evolution of a large-scale data platform across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments
Define integration points for data pipelines, orchestration, governance, and security layers
Translate business requirements and solution requests into robust, scalable architecture blueprints
Participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARBs) to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices
Maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and integration frameworks to guide implementation teams
Mentor platform engineers and other technical teams to ensure adoption of best practices for security, observability, and reliability
Oversee the selection, integration, and tuning of open-source data technologies such as Airflow, Spark, Trino, YuniKorn, Superset, S3, NiFi, Ranger, and DataHub
Collaborate with leadership to evolve the platform roadmap and long-term architectural vision
Partner with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Security, and DataOps, to drive alignment and improve platform maturity
Qualification

Infrastructure & Automation: Terraform, Kubernetes (K8s), OpenShift (OCP), Docker, Linux
Security & Governance: IAM, SSO, KMS, Kerberos, Encryption, RBAC
Monitoring & Observability: Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus
Programming Languages: Java, Scala, Python (preferred)
Architecture Practices: Solution design, reference architecture, system modeling, scaling patterns
8–12 years of experience designing or implementing large-scale distributed data platforms
Proven track record as a technical architect or lead engineer in modern data or cloud platform environments
Hands-on experience integrating and managing open-source data tools across hybrid-cloud and containerized environments
Strong understanding of enterprise governance and security frameworks (e.g., SOX, FFIEC, GDPR)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing architecture decisions across teams
