2+ years expThe Vermont Department of Health Laboratory is seeking a motivated individual to join their Information Systems support team. This role involves providing technical support for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Lab Web Portal (LWP), including troubleshooting user issues and assisting with user training and acceptance testing.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot user issues, determine appropriate action for resolution and follow-through
Identify and provide training for LIMS and LWP users as needed
Assist in gathering and documenting requirements for new system functionality
Assist with user acceptance testing
Configure and/or run LIMS queries to respond to laboratory test data requests from laboratory or departmental staff, and other partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years technical level experience working in a business environment using an enterprise application system
OR
Associates degree in business or computer science AND four (4) years experience at a technical level working in a business environment using an enterprise application system
OR
Six (6) years experience at a technical level working in a business environment using an enterprise application system
Have comprehensive analytical and troubleshooting skills
Be able to balance competing demands, urgent matters, and confidential material in a professional manner
Have a strong customer service focus
Be proficient in basic MS Office applications
Preferred
Knowledge of laboratory processes and health data systems experience
