Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations of infrastructure services, including data centers, networks, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems
Manage a team of engineers and technicians across network, server, and virtualization domains
Oversee system availability, performance monitoring, and incident response across classified and unclassified environments
Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF, and DISA STIGs
Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, patching cycles, and lifecycle management
Collaborate with cybersecurity, service desk, and application teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Develop and maintain SOPs, architecture documentation, and operational dashboards
Support continuity of operations (COOP), disaster recovery planning, and execution
Provide regular reporting to Knowesis leadership and government stakeholders on infrastructure health, risks, and performance
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic enhancements to support mission growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in computer science, information systems, business administration, information technology
Minimum 10 years' experience in IT field
Minimum 5 years' experience demonstrating technical and process proficiency across a broad range of IT landscape technologies and key IT disciplines
Minimum 5 years' experience managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure demonstrating cost reductions through cloud optimization, improved system uptime via proactive monitoring, and cloud migration of applications.services
Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, and federal compliance frameworks
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk), automation, and configuration management
Proven leadership and team development capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strategic mindset with attention to operational detail
Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
Preferred
Master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or information technology related field
Prior experience supporting federal or DoD environment
Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) (Expert or Managing Professional)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Cloud Platform certified in one of the following: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
