Responsibilities
Own Project Quality from End to End
Develop, implement, and maintain project quality plans that align with customer, regulatory, and industry standards throughout the program lifecycle
Be the Customer’s Quality Partner
Serve as the primary interface for quality topics, confidently engaging customers and regulatory authorities to address concerns, ensure compliance, and drive satisfaction
Strengthen Design & Program Robustness
Act as the Design Quality focal point, supporting engineering teams to improve design maturity, validation readiness, and process consistency
Drive Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement
Lead risk identification, corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, and practical problem-solving activities to improve project performance and reliability
Ensure Compliance & Audit Readiness
Guarantee adherence to ISO 9001, AS9100, and applicable regulatory requirements, supporting internal, customer, and certification audits
Lead Quality at Program Milestones
Prepare for and represent Quality at program and project gate reviews, ensuring readiness, transparency, and disciplined execution
Support Supplier & Industrial Quality
Partner with Supplier Quality to evaluate, select, and monitor design contractors and parts suppliers; ensure quality across design and industrial validation phases
Control Configuration & Change Management
Ensure configuration control, data integrity, and change management processes are rigorously followed across projects
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field (Bachelor's preferred)
5+ years of experience in a Design Quality or Project Quality role within aerospace or automotive environments
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements
Experience leading or supporting audits; Lead Auditor training is a plus
Familiarity with APQP, PDCA, DMAIC, and structured problem-solving tools
Solid understanding of engineering, industrialization, manufacturing, and quality processes
Experience supporting design validation, industrial validation, and program maturity assessments
Knowledge of configuration and data management principles
Proven ability to manage customer relationships, communicate effectively, and influence outcomes across technical and business teams
Ability to lead investigations, coach teams, and compile clear, actionable quality reports
Strong initiative, execution mindset, and adaptability in complex, fast-moving environments
Preferred
Experience with ARP-4754A, DO-178, and/or DO-254 standards
Background in highly regulated, safety-critical product development
