Account Manager
Capstone IT is a staffing company focused on IT solutions, and they are seeking an IT Staffing Account Manager to lead new business development efforts in the Kansas City market. The role involves managing the full sales lifecycle, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth from new accounts while collaborating with recruiters and marketing teams.

Responsibilities
Drive business development with a primary focus on new client acquisition and existing client engagement
Build and execute a territory-based sales strategy for the Kansas City market
Conduct consistent outbound prospecting through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking
Lead discovery meetings with hiring managers, IT leaders, and procurement stakeholders
Position Capstone IT as a strategic staffing partner through consultative selling
Develop and grow accounts from initial placement through long-term partnership
Collaborate with recruiting leadership to align talent strategy with client needs
Partner with marketing on targeted campaigns, account-based outreach, and events
Own pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking within CRM system
Negotiate terms, manage offer processes, and support successful placement execution
Stay informed on market trends, client buying behaviors, and competitive landscape
Serve as a senior ambassador of Capstone’s values in the Kansas City market
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in IT staffing sales or account management, with a strong emphasis on new business development
Demonstrated success acquiring and growing net-new IT staffing clients
Strong understanding of IT roles and technologies, including: Software development, Infrastructure and cloud, Data and analytics, Cybersecurity and enterprise systems
Comfort leading executive-level and technical sales conversations
Proven ability to run a disciplined, metrics-driven sales process
Experience working closely with recruiters to deliver high-quality talent solutions
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to operate independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
Proficiency with CRM and ATS platforms (Bullhorn, Salesforce, or similar)
Preferred
Alternatively, we are open to considering an experienced Technical Recruiter who is ready to transition into IT Account Management
