Responsibilities
This position requires office experience with data entry, calculator/10 key, word processing, and spreadsheet and database programs
Enters time, prints checks, completes direct deposits, and supports the processing and distribution of weekly multi-state payroll
Process union and non-union employee changes including, but not limited to rate increases, W-4 withholdings, direct deposits, garnishments, and 401k deductions
Scans, codes and indexes payroll records in Document Management System (CDM)
Assists with audits
Prepares weekly certified payroll reports using LCPtracker, CDS and other software programs
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquires
Prepares and maintains monthly and annual union reports; remits payments for fringe benefits, initiation fees and monthly dues
Work with HR to maintain accurate payroll records and ensure all data is entered into payroll system on time
Access to compensation information is necessary to perform this job function or another routinely assigned business task, and the essential function or duties of the position include protecting and maintaining privacy of employee personnel records and confidential information, including maintaining the confidentiality of compensation information
Provides a variety of routine office/clerical duties including organizing, filing, scanning, coding, data entry and maintenance of confidential payroll records
Ensures compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct
Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment

Qualification
Required
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
3+ years of payroll experience
Working knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations and labor laws
Proficient of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills required
Ability to interpret multi-state collective bargaining agreements
Preferred
Experience CMiC payroll system preferred, but not required
Experience with LCPTracker preferred
Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional – CPP) is highly desirable
