Budget Manager, Marketing Strategy and Operations
The Sage Group’s client, the World’s most popular online video platform, is seeking a Budget Manager for their Marketing Strategy and Operations team to project-manage and execute Initiative budget operations. The role involves managing communications, contracts, purchase orders, and reporting while ensuring a holistic view of all contracts and planned marketing spend.

Responsibilities
Project-manages and executes Initiative budget operations including communications, contracts, purchase orders, budget transfers and reporting
Ensure that the Initiative is aware of all budget milestones and process updates by sending regular communications to the team
Attend all Central S&O training sessions and host Initiative training sessions on the budget process and best practices, including for new hires
As the budget subject matter expert within the Initiative, helps troubleshoot and diagnose any questions from the Initiative
Own completion and maintenance of Initiative spend plan, collecting input from all PO owners on the team
The spend plan is shared with Central S&O and meets all Central S&O requirements
Spend plans are regularly reviewed with initiative leadership
Schedule and lead, incl meeting material creation, for spend reviews
Submit and execute contracts and amendments for planned work on behalf of marketers
Organize and maintain a library of the team’s contracts (SOWs), enabling stakeholders a seamless view of spend commitments by quarter and by year, including planned spend not yet forecasted
Submit purchase orders on behalf of the Initiative and proactively gain necessary approvals
Manage PO throughout its lifecycle, including reconciling invoices and balances remaining on each PO. Also, revise forecasts for each PO when deliverables change
Maintains a tracker of POs and invoicing schedules
Collect, validate, and submit transfer/ funding requests, including during finance forecast cycles
Manages shifts in budget by executing transfers between campaigns and across quarters, seeking approvals and exception requests if necessary
Provide commentary for any variances during 70% and 100% commitment deadlines
Provide summary of quarterly spend to Initiative leadership in addition to support and commentary for any S&O and Finance requirements
Supports appropriate spend governance for Leads and budget owners. Surfaces the need for and executes budget transfers
Provides visibility across stakeholders if resources are re-prioritized which enables predictable and transparent spend-through of marketing budgets each quarter
Qualification
Preferred
BA/BS degree Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
2+ years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, procurement or program management
Understanding of enterprise Finance business systems and processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Experience in project management, leading cross-functional strategic initiatives
Process/change management experience
Proficient in Google Sheets and Google Slides
