Responsibilities
Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and within established timelines
Perform manual data entry and verification of invoice information, matching purchase orders, receipts, and approvals
Review invoices for appropriate coding, proper documentation, and compliance with internal policies
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies quickly and professionally
Assist with weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
Maintain organized and up-to-date records, logs, and files related to AP activities
Respond to vendor inquiries and internal questions regarding invoice status, payments, or discrepancies
Support month-end close tasks related to Accounts Payable, including accruals and reporting
Identify opportunities for process improvements while working efficiently within a very manual workflow
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and accurate payment operations
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a repetitive, manual processing environment
Comfortable performing redundant tasks with consistency and reliability
Proficiency with accounting systems and MS Excel
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced setting
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records
Preferred
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
Experience with invoice automation tools is a plus (but not required)
